race #4

We had some great short course racin yesterday. Everyone loved the new track and had a blast. We even got our first set of fans. The mwrc staff was so proud of how great the track was and how it attracted fans. Our car-count was normal. We had 4 slashes and 3 buggys. this made for some great racing on a small track. But the one that caught most eyes was our slashes. We had 4 cars start the main and 2 finished. one car had a dead battery and the other blew a motor which happened to be brent curran for the second time this year. He was also leading the race... again. He was pretty upset but he got out his backup motor and put in the car for buggy. He ended up finishing second in buggy and 3rd in slash. Alex Haas won the slash main and Jake Haas won buggy. Jake haas has gone 4 for 4 this season in buggy were it was Alex's first win. Brent Curran TQ'd in slash 2 laps over second place, and Jake Haas TQ'd in buggy 2 laps over second place. Overall yesterdays racing was great. Hope to see you next time.

race #3

We decided to return to only a 1/10th scale off road track again. We had race #3 today and it was i think the best race we've ever had. We also had our first car catch on fire, it was soooooo cool but it was our slash points leader Brent Curran and he still ended up with a 2nd place finish. He lead all of the race till the last 20 seconds and by that time his left rear tire was off the rim and his motor caught fire. Jake Haas ended up winning with 20 seconds to go when Brent had his issues. David Rosa finished 3rd and Brandon Curran 4th. Brent Curran also TQed in slash. In 2 wheel buggy Jake Haas TQed and won the main. Brent Curran finished 2nd and Brandon Curran 3rd. This was also a great race. Thank you all for comin and hope to see you next time.

Myrtlewood RC Gone 1/18th Scale

The Myrtlewood RC staff has turned our 1/10th scale off-road track into 2 new 1/18th scale RC tracks. One being a high banked dirt oval and the other being a action packed off-road track. We are possibly looking to having our first 1/18th scale race on the dirt oval this Sunday. We are expecting at least two cars in each class, those classes being box stock slider and box stock late model. We are looking to have alot of fun with these new tracks. We are still unsure if we will continue the 1/10th scale series or not. We will keep you posted on that. We are looking forward to being able to run our first race on the new dirt oval this weekend. Please check up for new results and point standings.

Thanks,
Brent

Our Second Race

Waz up,
We had one heck of a race on Sunday. This post is a little late but its better late than never. We tryed a new track and it payed off. Everyone was very happy with it, "This track is sooooooooo fun, its so much more challenging." says David Rosa. This track included more jumps and more turns. This made for funner and more competitive racing. Jacob Haas TQed again and ended up sweeping the day with a main event win. Alex Haas TQed in slash and David Rosa won the main. His car was soooooooo fast and he was so smooth. Brent Curran got held up in a wreck when
he was chasin down David making him end up with a 3rd place finish. "Brent was on a mission, His car was hookin up soooo good, it sucks that he got caught up or it would of been one heck of a finish." says Jacob Haas. So it ended up being another really successful race at the Myrtlewood RC Speedway. Below are the points as of the last race. See ya next time.

Thanks,
Brent

Thursday, 1/29

I'm still messing with the track for Sunday, trying to fit more turns but so were still able to race. I tried 2 layouts today but both were to hard to be able to control the car. I got the hill section down, its just by the drivers stand were im having issues. I'm going to do more work on it tomorrow to get it ready for Sunday. It looks like we'll have all the same cars we had last week. Well hope to see you all on Sunday.

Our First Race

Thanks to all who showed up on the 18th. We had a pretty good turn out with 3 two-wheel buggy's and 4 slashes. In two-wheel buggy, Jacob Haas dominated with a 42 lap TQ and 46 laps in the main. His brother, Alex Haas had a TQ of 40 and finished 5 laps behind his Brother Jake with 41 laps in the main. Brandon Curran followed closely behind with a 3rd place finish behind Alex by a lap. In the Slashes, David Rosa TQ'd with 39 laps. The main was a close race with Brent Curran finishing first-46, Alex Haas second-45, David Rosa third-44, and Brandon Curran fourth-43. This was a very close race with a separation of 3 laps from 1st to 4th. So once again thanks to all that showed up on Sunday.

Thanks,
Brent
