Work Work Work: 4/1/10

Tomorrow we begin to build the 2010 MYRC summer series track. This would be a process that could take till Friday next week depending on the weather. Many of our series drivers will be coming to help with the build. The track staff is very excited and working really hard to get ready to make sure the track will be at its best. we will try to post pics during the week to show our progress. If the weather holds up, we are looking to have a open practice day on Thursday 4/8/10. This practice will be for 1/18 and 1/10 scale. we will run the cars separate in controlled practice. This will make it easier for both classes. Well that's the latest news from MWRC. Hope to see you at the track.
Thanks, MWRC staff

End of 2009 season

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2009 MWRC racing series. We had a great year with a lot of exciting racing. The tracks were great and the racing was better. The final points standings were close but there could be only one winner in each (see points below). The MWRC staff looks forward to the 2010 racing season, bringing new classes and a new series into the picture. The new series will be the 1/18th summer offroad series. The date of the first race is still TBD. The classes for this series will be; 4wd buggy and open 18 truck. The 1/10th scale racing will continue with the new 2010 summer offroad series. The classes will remain the same from last year. We look forward to another great year and we hope to see you at the track. The dates for both series races will be posted ASAP.
Thanks,

race #4

We had some great short course racin yesterday. Everyone loved the new track and had a blast. We even got our first set of fans. The mwrc staff was so proud of how great the track was and how it attracted fans. Our car-count was normal. We had 4 slashes and 3 buggys. this made for some great racing on a small track. But the one that caught most eyes was our slashes. We had 4 cars start the main and 2 finished. one car had a dead battery and the other blew a motor which happened to be brent curran for the second time this year. He was also leading the race... again. He was pretty upset but he got out his backup motor and put in the car for buggy. He ended up finishing second in buggy and 3rd in slash. Alex Haas won the slash main and Jake Haas won buggy. Jake haas has gone 4 for 4 this season in buggy were it was Alex's first win. Brent Curran TQ'd in slash 2 laps over second place, and Jake Haas TQ'd in buggy 2 laps over second place. Overall yesterdays racing was great. Hope to see you next time.

race #3

We decided to return to only a 1/10th scale off road track again. We had race #3 today and it was i think the best race we've ever had. We also had our first car catch on fire, it was soooooo cool but it was our slash points leader Brent Curran and he still ended up with a 2nd place finish. He lead all of the race till the last 20 seconds and by that time his left rear tire was off the rim and his motor caught fire. Jake Haas ended up winning with 20 seconds to go when Brent had his issues. David Rosa finished 3rd and Brandon Curran 4th. Brent Curran also TQed in slash. In 2 wheel buggy Jake Haas TQed and won the main. Brent Curran finished 2nd and Brandon Curran 3rd. This was also a great race. Thank you all for comin and hope to see you next time.
